(Chinese Name: 刘建政; Pinyin: liú jiàn zhèng; Click for pronunciation : liu jian zheng; or just call James)

刘建政博士是厦门大学公共事务学院教授，博士生导师，在进入厦门大学之前，他曾于香港大学城市规划与设计系从事博士后研究工作，并先后在剑桥大学土地经济系、伦敦国王学院社会科学与公共政策学院访学交流。他于2016年在香港大学取得博士学位，2012年在北京大学获得地理学（城市和区域规划）硕士学位，2009年在上海华东师范大学获得地理信息科学学士学位。

刘博士的研究兴趣包括：应急管理，环境与可持续发展，土地资源管理，城市与区域规划，大数据和前沿信息技术在公共事务中的应用。

Dr Jianzheng Liu is a full professor at the School of Public Affairs of Xiamen University. Before joining Xiamen University, he was a visiting researcher at the Department of Land Economy of Cambridge University and Faculty of Social Science & Public Policy of King’s College London, and a post-doctoral fellow at the Department of Urban Planning and Design of The University of Hong Kong. Dr Liu received his PhD degree at The University of Hong Kong in 2016. He also holds an MSc degree in Urban and Regional Planning at Peking University, and a BSc degree in Geographical Information Science at East China Normal University in Shanghai.

Dr Liu’s research interests include: (1) emergency management; (2) environment and sustainability; (3) management and planning of land use; (4) urban and regional planning; (5) computational methodologies and their applications in public affairs (with a focus on urban and environmental issues).
