A paper titled “A decade of battle against PM2.5 in Beijing” (co-authored with Colleagues in LISA Cambridge) is accepted for publication by Environment and Planning A: Economy and Space

My paper titled ‘A decade of battle against PM2.5 in Beijing’ is accepted by Environment and Planning A: Economy and Space on 3 March 2018. This paper is a research output of the collaboration with Dr Lun Liu and Dr Elisabete Silva from the LISA (Lab of Interdisciplinary Spatial Analysis) at Cambridge University. It provides a calendar visualization of the development of PM2.5 in Beijing over the past decade. The result shows that the pollution in Beijing intensified from 2008 to 2011 and then began to alleviate in 2012. The reduction has become more significant since 2015. However, air quality still falls below the international standard for healthy air and it is still early for Beijing to declare victory in the battle against PM2.5.
